Let’s Go to Bethsaida!

Let’s Go to Bethsaida!

We are on a Bible Trek Expedition as we journey back in time to explore what happens in different towns and places where Jesus was.

Our final stop is Bethsaida!

Check out when Jesus went to Bethsaida in Matthew 14:13-21.

Bethsaida is a place where some of Jesus’ miracles happened.  What is a miracle?  I wonder which of Jesus’ miracles you would have liked to have seen with your own eyes?

Bethsaida was near the Sea of Galilee. Jesus was happy to be on the water in a boat.  Where do you like to go to have time to yourself?

Lots of people followed Jesus to the shore near Bethsaida. They were eager to hear from him! How do you hear from Jesus? What do you hear him sharing with you?

In Matthew 14:13-21, Jesus is teaching the people who became very hungry. He fed everyone with only five loaves and two fish.  I wonder what it was like to be in the crowd? What might you have seen, tasted, heard, smelled, touched?

Jesus fed the crowd with 5 loaves and 2 fish, and everyone was fed until they were satisfied.  What food are you grateful that God made?  Which food makes you feel the most satisfied?

Jesus shares with us. How can we share with others? Who is someone you can share with? I wonder why is it sometimes easy to share, and sometimes it’s more difficult?

Jesus fed very hungry people with the loaves and fish.  In what way can you help people who don’t have enough food? What is something you could do this week to help the hungry?

Jesus is/I am:  Say it loud!  Claim it! Jesus shares with me.  I can share with others!

Pray together. Jesus, thank you for sharing with us…
