Have you ever taken a short cut on a journey? Did it get you were you were going? Sometimes short cuts work out, sometimes they do not.
There are no shortcuts when it comes to life with God. We read in the Gospel of John (14:6) that Jesus says,

“I am the way. And I am the truth and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.”
