On Saturday, March 2, over 130 kids, youth and their families attended our Raptors 905 Faith and Family Event! Not only did we have the opportunity to watch a fantastic game with the Raptors 905 defeating Capitol City 135-119 but kids 12 and under had were able to get an autograph from a player, take a shot on court and then join in our Post Game Program in Section 2.

Our post-game program began with Alvin interviewing 2 players, Rodney Pryor and Derek Cooke Jr as they shared testimonies of how they met Jesus and what that means for their lives. It was a privilege to hear how they learned to find their hope in Jesus and how that permeates their priorities and choices. They also shared some words of encouragement for all the kids and families attending which included the importance of reading the Bible daily and feasting on Scripture and the importance and power of prayer.

After the testimony time kids and youth 17 and under had the opportunity to come onto the court for some activities and win some prizes of Raptors and CBOQ gear. And one youth from Calvary Baptist Toronto walked away with the grand prize of 4 courtside seats to the Raptors 905 final home game in the final activity, scoring on me!

It was a lot of fun and great to see so many families creating some wonderful memories together as a family and with other families. Our hope and prayer with this event is that families will continue to have faith conversations as they share their memories of the day and that it will be an invitation to continue to seek Jesus day by day.
