Abominable is a delightful and beautiful adventure through China. Set in Shanghai, Yi, a teenager who has lost her father and is shutting out the rest of her family and friends, discovers a yeti on her rooftop. Along with 2 friends, she sets off an adventure to return the yeti to Mount Everest, his home. The movie depicts some beautiful scenery as they travel through the Gobi desert, the Yellow Mountains and the Leshan Giant Buddha and while not a musical, beautiful violin music played by Yi. It is a heartwarming story of family, friendship and what is important in life. There is lots of humour as well as profound lines. There are some scary parts with danger, chases, violence and villans so it may not be suitable for younger viewers.
