Book Review – Stitched Together by Aimee Reid

Stitched Together follows a young girl with a heartfelt secret: she dreams of adding her own square to her church’s anniversary quilt. As she learns quilting skills from her grandmother and her friends, she also discovers the stories, faith, and traditions that shape her church community. As she stitches, she uncovers the beauty of shared memories and the joy of creating something meaningful together.

This is a warm and uplifting story about family, friendship, and the power of belonging.

Although written to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Anabaptism, the story is universal – sharing faith from one generation to the next.  You can picture a grandchild on a grandparent’s lap taking this story in!

This story digs into faith, and unpacks faith practices in an intergenerational setting.  It would make a great gift for a new grandparent, or for any child’s bookshelf.  It would also be wonderful to share in a Sunday School class from an older generation to the younger.
