1: One God. One Life.

1: One God. One Life.

Love the Lord your God. Love him with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second most important command is this: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ These two commands are the most important commands.” (Mark 12:30-31)

Our theme focuses on the concept of “I Breathe – cultivating intimacy with Christ and developing Christ-like character.”

Last year, with our theme “Clear: Discovering the Real You” was all about answering the question, “Who are you?” as we discovered our identity in Christ. This year we will focus on practical steps toward a deeper relationship with God and developing Christ-like character through the spiritual disciplines.

How will we use this theme?

Watch this video to learn more about this resource!

Each month we will focus on one spiritual discipline. Follow us on Instagram or this Facebook Page for weekly “Mission Training”-which is a brief introduction to the discipline (posted on Mondays) and a “Mini Mission” which is a practical way to express our love for God to our neighbour (posted on Thursdays).

If you are not on Instagram or Facebook, you won’t miss out! Check back on this page for the link to the Monthly Resource page that will include all the Mission Training and Mini Missions for the month, as well as the following resources:

The “Learning Space” is for ministry leaders that has 3 sections focused on the monthly discipline:

  •  a few resources to learn more about that month’s discipline
  • a few practical ideas to try or share with families
  • ideas for teaching the discipline to kids either in person or virtually.

Intergenerational Worship Experience

This is a brand new feature this year that is a COVID-friendly idea for churches looking for ways to intentionally involve all ages in the worship service, whether in person or online. This will also be based on the monthly discipline focus. Check out our video to pastors about our theme and this resource!

Time Capsule

We have suggested a year long family project of a Time Capsule!

During this exceptional year, wouldn’t it be interesting to create a record of what God is doing in your family as you grow together?

This is easy – with a few prompts, you can create a cool time capsule. You can do it in a journal or notebook.  This can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose! If your really keen, check out some ideas we have gathered on crafty time capsule ideas that we have compiled on our Pinterest board for ideas!
